Ralph showed up in our neighborhood shortly after Katrina. He wont say where he came from but was obviously someone's pet. We looked and looked for his owner to no avail. Ralph is an impressively big guy but very friendly. He loves to be petted and to take naps in a human's lap. When very happy, Ralph will purr with his mouth open which is an unusual sound. He gets playful on cool mornings and romps through the room chasing toys, leaves, or whatever he can find.

He is intimidating to other cats and can definitely hold his own ground in a squabble. For that reason, he would not do well with other cats. Ralph is not aggressive but he has swatted at children (never at an adult) when he loses his patience. He also rubs the outside of his teeth on your arm as a sign of affection. We think he needs a home without young children.

Ralph is FeLV/FIV negative, neutered, and current on all his shots.
