Thank you for your interest in providing a home for one of our rescued pets. Please understand that our process does not operate on a first-come basis. Our goal is to match each pet to the best family for that pet. We appreciate your patience because all our workers are volunteers with jobs and other responsibilities, we follow up as quickly as possible.
Peter is a VERY sweet boy and needs someone just as sweet to live with! He is currently in a foster home but really needs a home of his home. A home with loving people that can take him on walks and play fetch with him. A loving home with people that will cherish him the rest of his life. A caring home that will feed him good food and take him to the vet regularly. Peter is a little shy but looks forward to bonding with someone like YOU! He likes to play with his toys and doesn't mind cats at all. He was found hiding in the back of a junkyard where a mean person had tossed him and left him for a year.....not the kind of owner Peter needs now :(
Peter is living with a couple of cute kittens and he absolutely LOVES THEM. He just adores them, and when he's feeling shy or scared, his fosters lure him into socialization by bringing a kitten to him. The only drawback is that, given his size, he tends to be like the abominable snowman in the Bugs Bunny cartoons, saying "I am going to love him and squeeze him and hug him and call him George," all the while Bugs Bunny is in fear of his life. The kittens love him, too -- they nap on his stuff and plop in front of him to bathe and such. Peter is really happiest just being wherever YOU are and chilling next to you.
Oh, and when it comes to being house trained, it is entirely likely he would physically explode before making a mess -- he's a super good boy that way - and if he's feeling sickly (like the time he ate some grass!) he whines to let you know he needs out. He's almost at the point where he goes to the door to let you know he needs out. Peter is up to date on his shots, neutered, heartworm negative and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150.00 Thank you! More about PeterGood with Dogs, Good with Cats
