Thank you for your interest in providing a home for one of our rescued pets. Please understand that our process does not operate on a first-come basis. Our goal is to match each pet to the best family for that pet. We appreciate your patience because all our workers are volunteers with jobs and other responsibilities, we follow up as quickly as possible.

Dulce was born 5/19/2007. She is an amazing little girl. Dulce was found in a county road ditch trying to crawl up under some leaves. Our volunteer noticed that she was blind when she approached her. She was immediately taken into our organization and taken to see our vets. Dulce's blindness was most likely due to a blow to the head although recently we have discovered that she is slowly regaining some sight.

Dulce is unbelievable and has adapted to her lack of sight unlike anything we have ever seen. She knows where the food and water is and has NEVER missed the litter box. Dulce plays, runs, and jumps and is friend to all of the other cats. Recently, I saw that she has noticed herself in the mirror so this is a good indication she CAN see a little. The neurologist that Dulce was taken to said that she could regain some sight because there is no major damage to the eyes.

Special Needs: Dulce is partially blind so she needs a home that understands she doesn't care to be picked up and carried. She likes to keep all four feet on the ground but will jump up on the sofa on her own.
