Hannah is a Bengal/Savannah mix.  Her personality is ALL BENGAL.

I have been fostering her for over a year now hoping that with love and letting her be who she is that she would be more receptive to the other cats in the house.  Hanna is still a loner but one of my young foster cats (because he is gentle) can engage her in a little bit of play.  Even with him being gentle she will get worked up and growl, hiss, cry out, but then she will want to play with him for a very brief time.  He seems to be the only one she gets along with in the least.  Hanna LOVES the cat wheel and will run on it frequently.  If you chant to her “go Hanna go, go Hanna go” she will run faster and faster.  She gets very excited and is very intense when playing (like with her bird on a fishing pole, laser light, etc…) or doing something she has her mind set on doing.  Hanna also loves to jump in the sink and drink water from a running faucet.

Hanna is only affectionate when she chooses to be.  You cannot pet her or pick her up if she doesn’t want you to without getting bit.  When she is loving she will lay her head on your shoulder and snuggle in to your neck.  However, it is not often enough.  At this point you can pet her and hold her lovingly and she sometimes will drool with pleasure.

Hanna cries and chatters because she doesn’t like whistling noises or people sneezing.  She hates loud noises.  Hanna will not sleep with me although I have tried to encourage her to for the time I have had her.  I am guessing it is because of the other cats.

Hanna was an abused by her former owners.  I am guessing it began when they first got her around 7 weeks old.  Her owners had her spayed and declawed at 9 weeks old.  Hanna was disciplined with a rolled up newspaper and treated mostly like a dog (even though dogs shouldn’t even be treated this way).  She was not allowed to jump on the furniture or the countertops, but was expected to be loving when she was picked up off of the floor to be held.  She repeatedly bit her owners so bad, and one instance (that I know of) they slammed her to the floor because she bit them so hard to be let go ( I am guessing a knee jerk reaction because it hurt badly and they were on blood thinners and would bleed excessively).  This is when I was called because a friend of mine told me they said to her get this cat out of here before we injure or kill her.  I immediately took her in.

I am in no hurry for Hanna to be adopted.  I only want her to go into a home where she will thrive and let her be who she is.  She is on a very expensive food and would have to remain on it.  She would have to have a Cat Wheel.  If you wanted her to have a playmate, I would consider letting her only friend (Tommy Tippy Toes) go with her.  Hanna does not like dogs.  I have fostered a puppy for a few weeks and I have babysat a small dog for a short period of time and each time it upsets Hanna so badly she will not even go to the litter box.  And, this is with “cat friendly” dogs that are housed with cats of their own.  I have never allowed a dog to chase or bark at any of my kitties fostered in my home.
